Mathew Dylan Curtis-Allen

Mathew Dylan Curtis-Allen of Bokchito, Okla. passed away in Durant, Okla., on Jan. 24, 2021 at the age of 23. Mathew was born Sunday, Feb. 2, 1997 to Joel William Allen and Kristi Curtis Korff in Bay City, Texas.
He attended Tide Haven High School and after graduating in 2016 moved to Bryan County from Palacios, Texas. Mathew worked in the auto care industry as an Auto Technician at Quick Lane Ford. He enjoyed the beach, working on the ranch, enjoyed fishing even more, and was a member of the Red River and Little Dixie Bass Clubs. Mathew was of the Baptist faith. He is loved by many and will be dearly missed by many more.

Preceding Mathew in death are his grandmother, Kathy Burns and grandfather, Lewis Allen.

Left to cherish his memory are father, Joel and wife Shannon Allen of Bokchito, Okla.; mother, Kristi Curtis Korff of Palacios, Texas; siblings: Reece and Raymond Kneble of Palacios, Texas, Haley Davis of San Diego, Calif., Zachary and wife Jessica Smith of San Diego, Calif., Caleb Smith of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and “Lil Sis” Myranda and husband Jessee Collins of Durant, Okla.; grandparents: Papa Donald of Paris, Texas, Peggy Allen of Bokchito, Okla. and Billy and Geneva Smith of Sulphur Springs, Texas; aunt, Zane and husband Gary Smith of Burleson, Texas; uncle, Robert Allen of Pleasanting, Texas and Kelli Curtis of Blessing, Texas; nieces and nephews: Mason, Logan, and Ethan Davis, Skyler and Sayler Smith, Ryder and Rylan Collins, and Beau Smith; along with girlfriend, Kaitlin Carillo and many other loved ones and friends.

Services to celebrate Mathew’s life will be held at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, at 10 a.m. with Gregg Engle officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Preston Boney, Jessee Collins, Zachary Smith, Caleb Smith, Ryder Collins, and Jared Ray.
