Mary Louise Brubaker, of Durant, Okla. passed from this life on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022 at the age of 77. She was born on Friday, Sept. 8, 1944 in Empire, Okla. to Roy Lee and Pearl Agnes (Crosswhite) Merritt. 
She enjoyed listening to country and western music, dancing, sitting on the porch drinking coffee and spending time with family and friends. She loved to volunteer at the Kings Closet at Victory Life, the food bank and the senior citizens center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee and Pearl Agnes (Crosswhite) Merritt; sisters, Joyce Easley and Ruby Arterberry, Evelyn Posey; brother, Tommy Merritt; granddaughter, Ashley Moore; her first husband, Robert Lewis Moore and second husband, Riley Richard.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Brubaker of 25 years; daughter, Brenda Hook of Madill, Okla.; sons, Robert Dale Moore of Bokchito, Okla. Shane Richard and wife Heather of Paris, Texas; sister, Pauline Burgess and husband Pete of Madill, Okla.; brother, Ricky Merritt and wife Gail of Madill, Okla.; granddaughters, Stacia Yates and husband Jason of Durant, Okla., Zoe Jayne Richard of Paris, Texas, Kimberlyn Thomas of Paris, Texas; grandsons, Chris Roberts of Madill, Okla., Ryan Lahman and wife Marissa of Bokchito, Okla., Benjamin Richard of Paris, Texas, Conner Richard of Palm Springs, Calif.; great-grandchildren: Seth Yates, Kylie Yates, Cryslin Roberts, Chett Lahman, Pacy Lahman and Andrea Moore as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A memorial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022 at Gordon Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.
