Rose “Marie” Philpot, Peanut, left us peacefully on February 6, 2022 at TMC Hospital with all her children by her side. She was born in Orange, Texas on March 31, 1959.
Marie had a life-threatening brain aneurysm in May 2014. The doctors were unsure of how she survived, due to the severity. She not only survived, she also prevailed through all the adversities of the aneurysm and the surgeries. She relearned everything from the development stage to adult. Her drive and motivation were undeniable, and an amazing life obstacle to be a part of with her. Watching her regain as much of herself back as she was able to, were cherishable moments. Her strong-willed fight was the motivation for her family to fight with her, through the tribulations that were ahead.
She was a precious soul; her heart was full of sweet innocence. You could not be around her without smiling or laughing at least once. She enjoyed helping her daughters at work and home. Keeping busy throughout the day is what she enjoyed. She loved to walk around the yard and watch the squirrels and deer. Music was a mood changer for her, if good music was on, she would dance and sing anywhere she was. That is how she got the nickname Jammers. Hugs and kisses always made her smile. The highlight in her life was having grandchildren and being the greatest Nana to them. She fulfilled that role and exceeded it more than it could have ever been expected. Memories with her will be our everlasting memories.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ludie Rose Fox LeJeaune; father, Red Fox; sister, JoAnn Katherine Fox; sister, Margaret Breaux and granddaughter, Abigail “Abi” Dawn-Marie Jones.
