Margie Glenn

Margie Glenn went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 4, 2021 in Bokchito, Okla. She was born to Roy and Winnie (Trammell) McGehee on March 2, 1936.

She married Wilburn Glenn on June 5, 1951. They were married almost 59 years. Margie was a longtime resident of Calera, Okla., but moved to Bokchito when she was no longer able to live alone. She was a member of the Bushnell Baptist Church.

She loved her Lord, her family, and friends. She had a special love for children. She was a faithful nursery worker at the First Baptist Church in Calera for approximately 20 years. She also took care of numerous nieces, nephews, neighbor children, and her grandchildren over the years. She was a behind the scenes kind of person with a servant’s heart. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and camping. She was a loyal supporter of her husband and various musical groups as they ministered in local nursing homes.

She is survived by her daughter, Delie Gordon and husband, Billy of Bokchito, Okla.; son, Stephen Glenn and wife, Kathy of Calera, Okla.; granddaughters: LaDonna Eldridge, Melissa Gordon, and Melanie McClure; grandson, Ryan Gearhart and wife Lindsay; eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson on the way; sisters: Willie Pennick, Dessie Luke, Lenora Bills, Ann Lloyd, Martha Goza and husband, Glenn, Janie Pate, Judy Yarbrough and husband, Robbie; brother, Roy McGehee; sisters-in law: Elaine McGehee and Dorothy Glenn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilburn Glenn and her brother, Troy McGehee.

Family hour will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 8 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m., Friday, July 9, at the Fairview Baptist Church in Durant with Bro. Bill Ledbetter and Bro. Roddy Arnold officiating. Her final resting place will be the Rosehill Cemetery in Calera, Okla. with Eddie Luke, Roger Luke, Kenneth Pate, David Goza, Ronnie Slaten, and Jim Dupuis as her pallbearers.
