Marainne Teressa Brown was born on September 18, 1957, in Durant, Okla., to Myron Brown and Mildred White-Brown and passed away February 15, 2022.
She attended Durant High School and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She was a member of the Fort Worth Indian Baptist Church and worked as a secretary. Marainne loved quilting, cooking, attending Choctaw cultural activities, and spending time with her grandkids and family.
Marainne is preceded in death by her parents, Myron Brown and Mildred White; grandparents and a brother.
Marainne is survived by her son, Arman Azimi and wife Becca Jensen of Austin, Texas; daughter, Katie Brown-Cardinal and husband Mark Cardinal of Denver, Colorado.; sisters, Sherry Dampf of Tulsa, Okla., and Myra Pike and husband Watson of Canada; brother, Curtis Brown and wife Cathy of Independence, Mo.; brother, Phillip Aplin and wife Bernice of Durant, Okla.; brother, Harold Aplin and wife Michelle of Calera, Okla.; brother, Robert Aplin and wife Cleta of Aubrey, Texas; brother, Douglas Aplin of Calera, Okla.; ex-husband and friend, Kaveh Azimi of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren: Jasmine, Taloa, Markie, and Xavier and one great-grandchild, Logan.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 21, 2022 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel.
