Man dies in night-time collision with car with lights off

A Tishomingo man was killed in a two-vehicle accident Thursday night south of Madill.

Christopher Antwine, 43 of Ardmore, was driving a 2006 garbage truck northbound on U.S. Highway 70F with no headlights or tail lights on at about 9:30 p.m four miles south of Madill, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Billy Carter, 57 of Tishomingo, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox also northbound on 70F when his vehicle struck the garbage truck from behind.

Adam Monjay, 36 of Tishomingo, a passenger in the Equinox, was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene from massive head injury sustained in the collision. Neither driver was injured.

Seatbelts were equipped and in use by both drivers, but not by the passenger, according to the report.

The OHP was assisted in the investigation by the Madill Police Department, Madill Fire Department, Kingston Fire Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Marshall County EMS.
