Lulu and Hazel Quilt Shop to present second Quilt Fest to start August

A local business is showing its wares and more for three days to open the month of August in Bryan County.

Lulu and Hazel Quilt Shop, in conjunction with the Friends of the Library, is presenting Quilt Fest Durant 2024. Quilters and quilt enthusiasts are encouraged to come out.

More than 120 quilts are scheduled to be on display for three days in two locations – the Donald W. Reynolds Library at 1515 W. Main in Durant and the Massey Building at 200 W. Main in Durant.

Everyone is invited to come and be a part. The purchase of a wristband for $5 will grant admission to both locations for all three days.

There will be expos, vendors and demos at the library all three days and exhibitions and vendors at the Massey Building, as well.

The event will take place on Thursday, Aug. 1 (9 a.m.-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 2 (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) and Saturday, Aug. 3 (9 a.m.-2 p.m.)
