At an early age, she attended Goodland Indian School in Hugo. After graduating from high school, she attended Southeastern State University in Durant and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. After teaching for several years, she received a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Southeastern State University. She worked as a teacher, counselor, and served as Title VI Director at Bacone College in Muskogee.
She belonged to the Muskogee Quilting Guild for many years and enjoyed quilting. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
Lucretia is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Benny Adams, G.A. Adams, Nora Katherine Brown, and Noweta Skinner.
She is survived by children: Linda Booker, Ernest and Pearl Dry, Jr., James and LaDona Dry, Doug and Pat Dry, Edward and Stacey Dry, Joe and Shelly Dry, and Kathy Dry. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Nov. 22, 2019 at Highland Cemetery in Durant.
