Lowell Eugene Bridgman, 83, passed away on August 14, 2021, in Durant, Okla. He was born on Feb. 16, 1938, to Walter and Oleta Bridgman in Powell, Okla.
He attended Ringling Public Schools and then attended Murray State College. Lowell married Kay (Johnson) Bridgman in 1963 in Amarillo, Texas.
Lowell retired from Denton State Schools. He enjoyed gardening and making jellies. Lowell loved cooking and feeding his family and friends, it brought him joy to help people out. He was truly a loving giving man.
He is preceded in death by his mother Oleta Bridgman, father Walter Bridgman, and his brother Richard Bridgman.
Left to share Lowell’s memories are his wife, Kay Bridgman of the home; children: Steven Bridgman and wife Lois of Madill, Okla., and Stacy Keeton, and husband Cameron of Enos, Okla.; grandchildren: Derek Bridgman, Josey Powell, Darin Powell; great-grandchildren, Brayley Powell and Landrey Powell and brothers, Joe and Pete and sisters, Lola and Linda.
A Celebration of Lowell’s life is set for Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel in Durant.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Durant.
