Louise McIntire

Louise McIntire, a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, entered her Heavenly home on February 21, 2022, at the age of 90. Louise was born in Caddo, Okla. to Homer and Mary Freeman on February 2, 1932. She married Clyde McIntire in Denison, Texas on May 17, 1947.

Louise lovingly dedicated her life to caring for her home and family. She and her husband Clyde made a life together raising their sons while farming and ranching. Louise would spend hours at her sewing machine making clothes for her family and others. She drew great pleasure from her vegetable garden, canning every season, but she especially loved her flowers. Louise was known for preparing delicious meals for her family.

Mrs. McIntire is survived by sons, Michael McIntire (Sherie) of Dallas, Texas, Patrick McIntire of Dallas, Texas, Richard McIntire (Susie) of Durant, Okla., and Danny Joe McIntire (Barbara) of Anna, Texas; 11 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

Mrs. McIntire was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Mary Freeman; husband, Clyde McIntire; and siblings, Doyke, Leta, Bonnie, Clyde, and daughter-in-law Ann McIntire.

Family hour will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel, 121 N. Fifth Ave. in Durant.

A funeral in honor of her life will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, at the Chapel with Rev. Ross Phillips and Rev. Jeff Self officiating. Her cherished grandson’s will serve as her pallbearers. The funeral service will be available to view via the funeral home Facebook page.
