Louis R. Prentice, of Bokchito, Okla., passed from this life on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 in Denison, Texas at the age of 100. He was born on Sunday, Nov. 10, 1918 to Samuel Louis and Eula (Jones) Prentice.
Louis was a longtime resident of Bryan County. He enjoyed mechanical tinkering, woodworking and gardening. He traveled the world and had lived with his family in Ethiopia where he was doing agricultural research. He was in the Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Morea Prentice and Gertrude Nance.
Survivors include sons: Walter Prentice and wife Leslie of Bokchito, Okla., Russell Prentice and wife Ann of Bokchito, Okla.; granddaughters: Melisse Prentice of Durant, Okla., Katheryn Warren and husband Smokey of Bokchito, Okla., Kaitlyn Prentice of Bokchito, Okla., Amy Murdock and husband Chris of Washington; grandson, David Prentice and wife Jaclyn of Stillwater, Okla., six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation Services were selected.
