Linda Sue Bourne

Linda Sue (Posey) Bourne, a resident of Durant, Okla., left this life and joined her beloved Savior Jesus Christ on Oct. 30, 2020 at the age of 70. She was born in Kiersey, Okla., also known as Mead, Okla., to Ralph Armstrong and Mattie Marie (Manners) Armstrong on Sept. 13, 1950.

Linda was married to Vincent Posey and Kenneth Bourne, both preceded her in death. She loved reading her Bible, having a good book in her hands, and she enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. Linda was a member of the Compassion Outreach Center in Calera, Okla. She had a compassion soul and dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse.

Mrs. Bourne was preceded in death by her husbands, Vincent Posey and Kenneth Bourne; parents, Ralph and Mattie Armstrong; sisters, Paula Chandler, and Edna Davis, and also preceded in death by her grandson, Ryan Ervin.

Mrs. Bourne is survived by her cherished children: Tony Ervin and wife Misty of Calera, Okla., David Ervin and wife Sandy of Calera, Okla., daughter, Brandi Garcia and husband Mike of Durant, Okla.; grandchildren: Amanda Vilchis and husband Edgar of Calera, Okla., Cody Ervin and wife Jessica of Durant, Okla., Davalyn Anguiano of Calera, Okla., Joshua Ervin of Calera, Okla., Brittany Cisneros and husband Samuel of Durant, Okla., Kaylee Hicks and husband Samuel of Durant, Okla., Courtney Garcia of Durant, Okla., Stephanie Garcia of Durant, Okla., Destiny Garcia and Evan Christian of Durant, Okla., Leslie Wingfield of Calera, Okla., Johnathan Wingfield of Calera, Okla., Sierra Ervin of Durant, Okla.; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings: Judy Robertson of Durant, Okla., Teresa Crank and husband Herbie of Durant, Okla., Ralph Armstrong, Jr. and wife Patricia of  Durant, Okla., Richard Armstrong and wife Rhonda of Durant, Okla.; nephew, Brandon Chandler of Durant, Okla. and also survived by her niece, Shanna Chandler.

Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. on Nov. 5 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, Okla. A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6 with Bro. David Ervin and Bro. Cody Ervin officiating. Her final resting place will be the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Armstrong, Okla. with Sam Cisneros, Sam Hicks, Cody Ervin, Joshua Ervin, Evan Christien, Kenneth Posey, Edgar Vilchis, Jonathan Wingfield as her pallbearers.
