Lester Eugene Williams 71 of Cartwright, Okla., passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born Jan. 13, 1951 in DuBoise, Ill. to Billie G. and Idris Dehne Williams.
He proudly served in the United States Army 1969-1971 and served two tours in Vietnam. He married Becky Geiger on Nov. 8, 1975, in LaMoille, Ill.
He had a variety of jobs including truck driving, heavy equipment, auto body among other trades as oilfield worker under engineers. Les was also passionate about fishing and hot rods. He was of the Baptist Faith and moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1978 before moving to Cartwright, Okla. in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother at birth.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Williams of the home in Cartwright, Okla.; son, Robert Williams of Boerne, Texas; daughter, Melissa McLemore and husband Havard of Denison, Texas; granddaughters, Delaney Williams and Kensi McLemore as well as other extended Family.
A graveside service was held February. 4, 2021 at the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, Okla. with Rodney Sprayberry officiating.
