Lena Frances Glenn was born on December 19, 1933, in Silo, Okla. to Elmer and Pansy (Slaten) Peoples. Frances joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on January 21, 2022, in Calera, Okla. at the age of 88.
Frances attended school at Kirsey and graduated from Silo Public School. She married Fred Glenn on April 8, 1976, in Silo and they were united as one for 39 years until Fred’s passing on May 24, 2015.
Frances was a dedicated wife and mother to her sweet family and a faithful friend to many. She was a loyal and faithful member of Silo Baptist Church and she enjoyed hummingbirds, reading, and singing. Most of all she loved traveling with Fred and she treasured the time she spent with family and friends.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Glenn; daughter, Jeannie Boston; parents, Elmer and Pansy Peoples and great-granddaughter, Sylvia McHenry.
Loved ones left behind to carry on Frances’ legacy are her son, Joe Dail and wife Susan of Texarkana, Texas; son, Jimmy Glenn of Andalusia, Ala.; daughter, Donna Baker and husband Jim of Granbury, Texas; daughter, Lisa McHenry and husband Chris of Oologah, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Frances Glenn will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at Silo Baptist Church. Pastors Roger Speers and Ray Earley will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Silo Restland Cemetery with Cory Boston, Lesley Dail, Damien Dail, Mike McHenry and Jerry Norris. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Robinson and Clyde Glenn.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
