Leigh Suzette “Lee Lee” Long passed away on June 26, 2021, in Denison, Texas, at the age of 52. Leigh was born on Oct. 19, 1968, in Durant, Okla., to William Bill Long and Beverly Sue Elix.
“Lee Lee” has been a lifelong resident of Durant and graduated from Durant High School. She worked at the Sheltered Workshop in Durant and was an avid sports fan. She loved her baby doll “Bonnie,” Durant High School and Southeastern. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Durant and she loved going to local sporting events, rodeo, wrestling, and she loved her dogs and cats. “Lee Lee” always had a smile on her face and would brighten your day.
“Lee Lee” was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Todd and Vance Long and her grandparents.
“Lee Lee” is survived by her brother, Vince Long; aunts, Gwenn Elix, Laura Kaye, Tammy Elix and Tracey Elix; nephew, Eli Long; niece, Shannon Long; aunt, Sonya Orange; great-uncle, Dave Long; cousins: Kathey Steve, Cristy Arkansas and Sherran Glinn and numerous extended family and many friends.
Funeral services to celebrate “Lee Lee’s” life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Bro. Anthony Williams and Bro. Wayne Bailey will officiate. Interment will follow in Ravia Cemetery with Keith Baxter, Kelly Green, Darin Grover, Zach Crabtree, Coby Ragsdale, Cade Buchanan, Bentley Shattuck and Bill Cox serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Southeastern Baseball Team.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
