Larry Marlow

Larry Joel Marlow passed from this life on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at his residence in Durant, Okla. He was born on April 18, 1952, in Plainview, Texas to Clarence and Ola Mae (Bush) Marlow. He married the love of his life on Dec, 22, 1980, in Durant, Okla.

Larry proudly served in the United States Navy for a little more than two years. He was a past commander of the VFW, where he did funerals for veterans, which included folding and presenting the flag to the families.

When Larry was younger, he traded in their car for a motorcycle, which had no lights or brakes and was nicknamed the “chicken hawk.” As his pastime, he enjoyed watching wrestling and MASH.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Charlotte of the home; nephews, Kaleb King of Durant, Okla., Justin Holstine of Durant, Okla., and Timothy Pickens of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sister-in-law, Linda King of Durant, Okla.; brother, George Bush and wife Leanna of Austin, Texas, and a daughter Amy Rose.

Preceding Larry in death are his parents, Clarence and Ola Mae; a brother, Jimmy Bush and a niece and nephew.
