Laith Armstrong, 78, of Durant, Okla., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 in Durant. Laith was born on Feb. 16, 1942 in Caddo, Okla., to Sam Houston Armstrong and Willie Myrtle (Broadrick) Armstrong.
He attended school in Caddo and later worked in construction. Laith loved to fish and hunt. He spent the later years of his life helping BJ Mullens with his cattle.
He is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and sisters Blanche Williams, Bobbie Stillwell, Ethel Peters, Midge Ellis, Dick Armstrong, and his best friend Hawkeye Roberts.
Laith is survived by his wife Alice of the home; son, Doug Armstrong of Durant; one sister, Sammy Beshirs; brother, Kenneth Armstrong of Foruna, Calif., and numerous grandchildren. 
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Armstrong, OK with Will Airington officiating. Pallbearers will be Kevin Blackburn, Will Smith, Rylon Hill, BJ Mullens, David Geckler, and Jason Geckler.
