Kimmel Mark Kinion of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on Friday, November 10, 2023 at the age of 67. He was born on Friday, September 28, 1956 in Clinton, Okla., to Warren James and Devie (Ward) Kinion.
He came to Durant in December 2016, previously residing in Fresno, Calif. He married Jeanette (Cserna) Kinion on March 18, 1989 in Fresno.
In 1980, he received his degree in psychology and sociology from Anderson College. In 1981, he also received his associate degree in data processing at Anderson Ivy Tech. He had a passion for genealogy and history.
He was preceded in death by his parents Warren James and Devie (Ward) Kinion and brother Timmothy Kinion.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette (Cserna) Kinion of Durant, Okla.; son, Joseph Janos Kinion of Durant, Okla.; daughter, Kristina Marie Kinion of Durant, Okla.; cousins Anthony Ward and Steve Kinion as well as other extended family and friends.
A family visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Gordon Funeral Home in Durant, Okla.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Gordon Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma with Greg Thralls officiating. A graveside service will follow at Calera Cemetery in Calera, Okla.
