Kiamichi Tech recognizes Practical Nursing graduates

DURANT – Fifteen Practical Nursing students graduatedfrom Kiamichi Tech-Durant on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

According to the program director, Shelly Swalley, Practical Nursing graduates complete 1,508 hours of class timeand clinical hours. Students attend classes Monday-Friday for11 months and must pass a rigorous exam in order to gain LPN licensure.
“The nursing profession is growing faster than other industries,” Swalley said. “The need for highly-trained nurses continues to grow throughout Oklahoma and the United States. Our graduates are prepared to fill the essential gap in an evolving workforce.”
