Kevin Don Eckelhoff, a resident of Durant, Okla., left this life and joined his Savior on Feb. 3, 2021 at the age of 61. He was born in Fort Smith, Ark., to Andrew Carl Eckelhoff and Margaret Mary (Nichols) Eckelhoff on June 16, 1959.
Kevin cherished his girls and grandchildren; he was blessed by their times together. He was an active member of his church and postal carrier by trade. Kevin always looked forward to seeing his customers. He loved his dogs, enjoyed a good audio book, and schlockmeistering (a purveyor of cheap goods).
Mr. Eckelhoff is survived by his children, Savannah Taylor and husband Daniel of Wilburton, Okla., and Salena Joines and husband Jameson of Madill, Okla.; mother, Margaret Eckelhoff of Fort Smith, Ark.; grandchildren: Lincoln, Liam, and Cordelia Taylor of Wilburton, Okla.; siblings: Katie Riley, John Eckelhoff, Rose Gean, Phyllis Eckelhoff, and Sabrina Mecum all of Arkansas. Kevin is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Eckelhoff was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Carl Eckelhoff, and brother-in-law, Herb Riley.
Family hour will be from 7-8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, OK. A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 8 at the Victory Tabernacle Church with Bro. Doyle Pair officiating.
His final earthly resting place will be at the Mead Cemetery in Mead with Daniel Taylor, Jameson Joines, Stacy Pair, Michial Joines, Sterlin Taylor, and Mark Hampton as his pallbearers. His honorary pallbearers will be Lincoln Taylor, Liam Taylor, John Eckelhoff, Homer French, and Roy Gean.
