Kenny Sue Ellis

Kenny Sue Ellis was born on June 22, 1944 in Broken Arrow, Okla. to Kenneth and Mary (Fielder) Coffelt. Kenny Sue passed away on April 26, 2019 at her home in Durant, Okla. surrounded by her family.

Sue married Warren Richard Ellis on Nov. 20, 1972 and they were united in marriage until his passing on June 29, 2001. Together owned and operated PESCO in Sand Springs. When she moved to Durant she owned HNT Quilt Shop with her daughter. She was a member of the Heritage Quilting Group and she enjoyed quilting, sewing, hummingbirds. Her animals Littleman, Meme and her cat, Halo held a special place in her heart. She was an avid gardener and was known for her beautiful flowers.

Kenny Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Danny Coffelt and sister, Sally Coffelt.

Kenny Sue is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Collins and husband Thomas; grandson, Zachary Veenstra and granddaughter, Samantha Collins-Veenstra and future son- in- law, Colton Ledford; sister, Pat Fulps and husband Jake; niece, LeAnn Jones and numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside service will be held at Washita Hilltop Cemetery (3222 State Road 199 Durant, OK 74701) on Sunday May 5, 2019 at 1 p.m. Tommy Green will be officiating.

Viewing will be at Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, Ok Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
