Karen Drake, of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021 at the age of 62. She was born on Thursday, July 23, 1959 in Dallas, Texas to William Eugene Sr. and Shirley JoAnn (Jones) Drake.
She was a longtime resident of Durant, Okla. She achieved her RN and enjoyed a career in nursing. She enjoyed NASCAR and online shopping. Most of all she loved time with her family and especially her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Eugene Sr. and Shirley JoAnn (Jones) Drake.
Survivors include her sons, Chris Drake and his fiancé Joy Parsons of Durant, Okla., Brendan Drake of Durant, Okla.; brother, Billy Drake of Durant, Okla.; sister, Sandra Loper of Poteau, Okla.; nieces and nephews: Bobby Drake of Fittstown, Okla., Billy Drake III of Tulsa, Okla., Nicholas Kellam of Ft. Worth, Texas, Zack Kellam of Greenville, Texas; Ashley Boyer of Durant, Okla.; grandchildren: Tylan Drake, Alexis Drake, Kai Herold, River Faye Parsons-Drake and other extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday Sept. 18, 2021 at Gordon Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Jon Hazell officiating.
