Justin Boone, Republican, announced he is running to be the next Bryan County Commissioner for District 2.

He is a longtime employee of District 2. Having been employed by the district, he has a working knowledge of every aspect of the district, currently as Road Foreman. He understands the present and future needs of the district.

“I have been a resident of Bryan County my entire life, half of my 50 years as a resident of District 2,” Boone said. “I served on the Calera Board of Education for 13 years, with six of those as president, so I know how to handle a budget and use taxpayers’ money wisely. I have been a member of the Bryan County Fair Board for four years and currently serve as president.”

Justin is married to his wife Cathy and together they operate a successful cow/calf operation. They are blessed with a daughter, Calee and husband Levi, and a son Derrick and wife Nicole Boone, along with their granddaughter, Hadlee Boone.

Justin wants to strive to make District 2 a better place to live and work.

A campaign/fundraising kickoff will be held on Wednesday, March 13, from 5-8 p.m. at Top Notch Turf farm, located at 8686 Highway 91 in Colbert, Okla., with all-you-can-eat fried catfish, shrimp, hushpuppies and fries.
