Juanita Cheshier of Yuba, Okla. passed from this life on Dec. 18, 2020 at the age of 93. She was born in Yuba, Okla. on Oct. 10, 1927 to Walter and Velma (Grace) Swindle. She married T.J. “Bit” Cheshier on January 17, 1946 in Durant, Okla.
Juanita was a member of Yuba Baptist Church in Yuba, Okla. She was a homemaker and loved to cook and sew. But she loved her grandchildren and her family more than anything. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed being outside tending to her garden.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bit Cheshier; a son, Gary Cheshier; a sister, Helen Collman; brother, William Swindle; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Cheshier and a son-in-law, Tommy Dowd.
Left behind to cherish the memory of Juanita are her two children: son, Jerry Cheshier of Yuba, Okla. and daughter, Debbie Dowd of Yuba, Okla.; grandchildren: Kristie Basham and husband Clint of Calera, Okla., Lisa Stanglin and husband Dean of Kemp, Okla., Jason Dowd and wife Casey of Durant, Okla., Bradley Cheshier of Yuba, Okla., and Brittny Cheshier of Durant, Okla.; great-grandchildren: Riggin Dellis, Rylee Stanglin, Brock Basham, Blake Basham, Delton Roberts, Hayden Roberts, and Finlee Dowd.
A graveside service was held on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020 at the Yarnaby Cemetery in Yarnaby, Okla.
