Jonah Nicholas Beck was born in Lake Charles, La. on Earth Day (April 22, 1993) to Monique and Jeffery Beck. He passed on July 15, 2021.
He always had a special connection with nature. He was an adventurous, curious, and talented child who grew into an exceptional young man.
His family relocated to Florida where his love for art and athletics flourished. He won art competitions and all-star recognition in every sport he played. Once again, in 2000 his family relocated – this time to Durant, Okla., where he grew more talented in sports, skateboarding and freeline skating, art, percussion, choir, and guitar. He even made The Presidents Honor Roll while attending SOSU. He will always be remembered by his smile, his generosity, his inquisitiveness, and his dedication.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Conrad Guidroz.
Jonah is survived by his parents Jeff Beck of Durant and Monique Beck-Box and husband Ben of Durant; his sisters, Merleigh Box of Durant and Andraz McDaniel and husband Chris of Atoka; niece, Aubree McDaniel and nephews Ethen and Caleb McDaniel; grandmothers, Judy Gayman of Austin and Cheryl Guidroz of Durant.
