John McWilliams

John Moody McWilliams, 50, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 10, 2019, in Kingston, Okla. He was born on Dec. 19, 1968, in Denison, Texas, to Willis and Mary Loyce (Bradshaw) McWilliams.

John loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisher and really knew the woods around the Kingston and Lake Texoma area. And his family was important to him.

He was also an accomplished and award-winning artist. He liked to craft “mountain man” things and was a huge fan of history, especially concerning the Civil War era.

John was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arch and Alice McWilliams.

He is survived by his son, Jerreck McWilliams and wife Sadie, of Richardson, Texas; parents, Willis and Mary Loyce McWilliams, of Kingston, Okla.; brother, Phil McWiliams and wife Sarah, of Muskogee, Okla.; sister, Marla Herndon and husband Jason, of Kingston, Okla.; nephews, Isaac McWilliams and Jaden McWilliams, of Muskogee, Okla.; nieces, Isabella McWilliams, of Muskogee, Okla. and Macy McWilliams, of Durant, Okla.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him.

Family hour will be at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019 at the Monterey, located at 224 S. Ninth Ave. in Durant, Okla. A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Monterey.
