Joey Jonaitis of Durant, Okla., passed from this life on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the age of 45. He was born on Tuesday, May 23, 1978 in Kokomo, Ind., to Joseph Randolf and Terry Leah (Hall) Jonaitis.
He was a resident of Durant, Okla., for the past four years, previously from Arlington, Texas. He married his wife on February 14, 1997 in Dallas, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army for seven years.
He played the guitar, among other instruments and enjoyed punk rock music. He loved to cook and he loved animals.
He is preceded in death by his cousin, Jeremy Wade Hall.
Survivors include his wife, Christie Halliburton of Durant, Okla.; sons, Wade Jonaitis of Durant, Oklahoma, Wriley Jonaitis of Durant, Okla.; brother, Patrick Jonaitis of Durant, Okla.; parents, Joe and Terry Jonaitis of Fairbanks, Alaska; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Gordon Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.
