Jennifer “Kathy” Cuesta of Durant, Okla.,, passed from this life on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the age of 72. She was born on Wednesday, March 5, 1952 in Levelland, Texas to William Edward and Betty Ruth (Bridwell) Jones.
On August 15, 1969, she married Dr. Braulio Manuel Cuesta in Levelland, Texas. The newlyweds then made their home in Seville, Spain for five years before moving to Youngstown, Ohio for four years. They then moved to Durant, Okla., in 1981 where Kathy resided until her passing.
Kathy was a proud member of the Daughters of The American Revolution. She loved music, especially The Beatles, and had a beautiful singing voice. Kathy loved her Cocoa-Cola, the ocean, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a very loving, and caring person and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Edward and Betty Ruth (Bridwell) Jones; sister Jana; and grandson Mason.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years Dr. Braulio Manuel Cuesta of Durant, Okla.; daughters, Julie K. Cuesta-Naifeh and husband Michael of Charlotte, N.C., Jancie K. Shelburne and husband Jeffrey of Durant, Okla.; son, Braulio Jay William Cuesta of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Hanna, Jaxon, Jaycie and her husband Matthew; great-grandson, Jamison; a niece; a nephew; numerous cousins as well as other extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Highland Cemetery in Durant, Okla., with Don Hyde officiating.
