Janice “Jan” Stuber, of Kingston, Okla., passed from this life on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021 at the age of 67. She was born on Tuesday, October 6, 1953 in Eureka, Kan. to Floyd Wayne and Freda Marie (Phillips) Gibson.
Jan married Dennis Leroy Stuber on Dec., 24 1971 in Toronto, Kansas.
She was a resident of Kingston, Okla., previously living in Sanger, Texas and Belle Plaine, Kansas. She enjoyed fishing and parasailing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandkids as they were her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Wayne and Freda Marie (Phillips) Gibson and a grandson, Braydn Hammond-Stuber.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis of the home; son, Dustin Stuber of Era, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Hunter and husband John of Era, Texas; grandsons: Dawson Stuber of Haysville, Kan., Gabriel Hunter of Era, Texas, Dyson Stuber of Haysville, Kan., Gage Hunter of Era, Texas; sisters, Judy Lawrence of Iola, Kan., Joy Tharp of Eldorado, Kan.; her beloved pets, Tuffy and Tex as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and a host of friends.
A celebration of life will be a come and go gathering from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 at the Belle Plaine Community Center in Belle Plaine, Kan. at 528 N. Merchant St.
A Texas celebration will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Era United Methodist Church in Era, Texas at 201 Bolivar Rd.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N. 3rd, Durant, Okla.
