James was born Saturday, February 13, 1937 in Los Angeles, Calif. to James Woodrow Bradley and Martha Elizabeth (Strickland) Bradley. Mr. Bradley left his physical body and entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from Durant, Okla. at the age of 85.
James married the love of his life, Marlene Allen, on March 9, 1956 in San Bernardino, Calif. They just celebrated their 66th anniversary this month. James served our country with the United States Army for four years and was employed as a Real Estate Appraiser more than 40 years. He enjoyed socializing, teaching the Bible and teasing everyone. James and Marlene attended the Caddo Church of Christ and are members of Community Christian Church since 2003.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene, of Durant, Okla.; son, James Bradley of Monrovia, Calif.; daughter, Mary Jo Garman and her husband, Shannon, of Durant, Okla.; son, Brian Bradley of Blue Ridge, Ga.; grandchildren, Jimmy Bradley and Joshua Bradley, both of Monrovia, Calif., Dakota Diessner and his wife, Kaylee, of Crowley, Texas, Lexi Diessner of Ft. Lee, Va., Cady Bradley of Montana, and Beau Bradley of Healdton, Okla.; and two great-granddaughters, Paislee and Renlee.
Memorial services for James Bradley will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Community Christian Church in Durant with Bro. James Snyder and Bro. Troy Humphrey officiating.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service.
