Hugh “Bo” Lenwood Caldwell went to rest at his Heavenly home on December 5, 2024, in Denison, Texas, at the age of 73.
Hugh was born on June 16, 1951, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Francis Joe Caldwell and Anna Deora Caldwell (Wilson). Hugh attended Dickson High School and The University of Oklahoma. Hugh married his sweetheart, Patti Sue Caldwell in August 1970, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Hugh was a carpenter, and his favorite hobby was woodworking. Hugh was a lover of many things. He loved to watch OU football, enjoyed the company of and caring for his beloved animals, and making crosses from wood and giving them away. Hugh adored his wife and family and loved Christmas. Hugh was a respecter of people, and he never met a stranger. He loved to cookout and feed people and cherished every minute with his wife and family. He was the best dad there ever was.
Hugh is preceded in death by his parents, FJ and Anna Caldwell; in-laws, Jack and Betty Stokes; sister, Karen Byrd.
Hugh is survived by his loving wife of the home, Patti Sue Caldwell; daughter, Christi Aragona and spouse Joe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jerrod Caldwell and spouse Melanie of Burkburnett; brother, Clyde Caldwell and spouse Charlene of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Sharon Wilson and late husband Ernie of Durant, Oklahoma; sister, Becky Morrison and spouse Ronnie of Durant, Oklahoma; blessed with six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, Oklahoma, with Pastor Lee Armstrong officiating.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service.
