Hiahwahnah Richard Neal Jr., 55, of Durant, Okla., passed away on the morning of February 20, 2022, in his sleep at home.
Richard was born on April 2, 1966, to Hiahwahnah Neal and Gerriann Cooper in San Bernardino, Calif. He was the strongest of men and was wholly and completely devoted to his family and close friends. He was a mentor to many people and a shining example of what it truly meant to be a good man.
In 1983, he met Katheren, and later that year they wed, going on to have four children, Hiahwahnah Neal III, Christoffer Neal, Alyce Neal, and Rebekah Neal.
He is survived by his wife, Katheren Neal; his sons, Hiahwahnah and Michelle Neal of Henryville, Ind., and Christoffer and Pamela Neal of Durant, Okla.; his daughters, Alyce Neal of Grand Forks, N.D., and Rebekah Neal of Louisville, Ky.; his mother, Gerriann Cooper of Louisville, Ky.; his brothers Michael Neal of Louisville, Ky., and Jason and Stephanie Cooper of Copperas Cove, Texas; his sister, Kimma Neal of Cache, Okla.; eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, nine nieces, and five nephews along with a large amount of extended family from across the country.
Cremation services have been selected.
