Herman Edward Walters, 88, of Colbert, Okla., passed away peacefully at Southern Pointe Nursing Home in Colbert on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Herman was born on December 23, 1934 in Gatesville, Texas, to Herman Floyd Walters and Adlean (Mitchell) Walters.
He was a high school graduate and formerly worked in transportation as a truck driver. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He will be missed by his loving family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Elizabeth Brown of Homosassa, Fla., Henry Earl Walters of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren: Shannon Crossley, Megan McClure, Melissa Walters; numerous great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Adlean Walters; his wife, Patsy Walters and his brother, Joe Walters.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, Okla., with Richard Gage officiating.
