Location: Abundant Life Texoma, Durant, Oklahoma
Hours: Sunday mornings (10am-12:30pm) + Wednesday nights (6pm-8pm)
Position Type: Part-Time Contract Labor, Exempt, Direct Report to Lead Pastor and Student Ministries Pastor

We are a gospel-centered church family committed to caring for families and raising up the next generation to know Jesus. Our nursery ministry exists to provide a safe, nurturing, Christ-honoring environment for babies and toddlers while parents participate in worship and discipleship.
Position Overview
You will care for infants and toddlers (birth to 2 years) during Sunday and Wednesday services. This role is about safety and support — making sure every child feels secure, loved, and respected.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and care for infants and toddlers (birth–24 months)
• Ensure a clean, safe, age-appropriate environment
• Create a warm, engaging atmosphere with age-appropriate play, songs, and interaction
• Follow all safety protocols and check-in/check-out procedures
• Communicate respectfully with parents regarding needs or concerns
• Maintain basic records (attendance, incidents, allergies, supplies)
• Partner with ministry leadership to uphold church values and policies
Required Qualifications
Must Have:
• Age 18+
• Comfortable working with infants and toddlers
• Clear background check and screening per Oklahoma law and church policy
We take safety seriously. These requirements are not optional; they protect the children, you, and the church.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (infant/child focus preferred)
• Ability to follow detailed safety and childcare procedures
• Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor
Preferred:
• Experience working with young children (nursery, daycare, preschool)
• Knowledge of early childhood developmental needs
