Helen Pierot

Longtime Durant resident Helen Francis (Ulch) Pierot passed away peacefully and into the loving arms of Jesus on July 19, 2020 in Frisco, Texas.

Helen Pierot was born in Denison, Texas on March 22, 1936 to parents Lester and Lula Mae Sutherland Ulch.

Helen attended Denison Texas Schools. Helen married the love of her life, William (Bill) Pierot, Jr. on July 1, 1953 at Rev. Elza England’s home in Denison, Texas. (Bro Elza England is the father of Rev. Raymond England – here today.) Bill and Helen started a family with two daughters, Debbie and Kathy.
Helen was a devoted stay-at-home Mom that loved to cook, care, and sew for her family. She could alter a man’s suit down a whole size and no one could ever tell it had been altered.

In the fall of 1970, Bill & family decided to travel and spread the Gospel in song full time. They traveled on their Greyhound bus multiple times across the nation and held countless concerts. Helen’s love for singing Gospel music and meeting people was only surpassed by her love and caring for her family. She made sure her home was filled with joy and the love of God. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing with Bill, planting flowers, baking, and holding garage sales. Her garage sales looked like a finely tuned retail store.

Helen is survived by daughter, Debbie and husband Kip Crawford of Celina, Texas, daughter, Kathy and husband Rex Moore of Eagle Point, Ore.; grandson, Sean Welborn and wife Erlane of Paris, Texas; granddaughter, Nicole and husband Jacob Hert, of Owasso, Okla.; great-grandsons: Chandler Aynes, JJ Welborn, Stetson Hert, Emmett Hert, and Holt Hert; one sister, Ruby Stanton of Alabama, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William (Bill) Pierot, Jr.; parents Lester and Lula Mae Ulch; four sisters: Margaret, MaryLee, MinnieBell, and Dorothy Ulch; and one brother, Frank Ulch.

Interment will follow funeral services at Highland Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Kip Crawford, Nicole Hert, Jacob Hert, Brian Ulch, Harvey Smith, and Mark Ramos.

Services to be held Brown’s at Brown’s Funeral Home in Durant, Okla. on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 10 a.m.
