Helen Ruth McWilliams, 80, of Kingston, Okla., passed away on Jan. 18, 2021 at the hospital in Madill, Okla. She was born on March 31, 1940 in Texas City, Texas to the late Ed Jefferson Easley and Opal Harvey Easley.
She married Bobby Mac Nelms in 1957 and he preceded her in death in June 1963. She later married Joseph Wendyl McWilliams in October 1987 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 2018.
Helen lived her entire life in Marshall County where she worked at the Madill Hospital and later for Brookside. She also worked for BancFirst in Kingston and later owned and operated the Living Word Book Store in Ardmore. Helen was affiliated with the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Kingston and enjoyed playing dominoes, watching football and basketball. Her greatest joy was family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Bobby Raymond Nelms and wife Janine of Sherman, Texas, William Nelms and wife Elaine of Kingston, Okla., Stevie Jo Nelms and wife Stacy of Kingston, Okla., Tessie Roland and Randy Watts of Ohio; stepchildren: Joey McWilliams and wife Jodi of Durant, Okla., Matthew McWilliams and wife Lindsey, Tulsa, Okla.; 18 grandchildren: Chance and Tyler Nelms, Brittany Norman, Ashley Young, Charli Mellott, Nate McClain, Makayla Roland, Christian Nelms, Jacelyn Woods, Jenna, Jayla, Jolie and Jake McWilliams, Tyler, Kinsley and Treyson McWilliams, Raeche and Wade Nelms; great-grandchildren: Ava and Hunter Nelms, Ace and Maverick Norman, Alice and Benji Nelms, Jayleigh and Jasper Woods, Griffin Collins and Brooks Young.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one sister, Sue Gorrell and one brother, Johnny Easley.
Private family service. Service will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill, Okla.
