Grace Gardner

Grace Gardner passed from this life on Aug. 12, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Aug. 14, 1926, in Ravenna, Texas to Benjamin Washington and Willie (Mohn) Dobbs.

Grace was a homemaker and was a member of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed gardening and was always in her garden or canning.

Grace is survived by her husband, Billy Gardner of the home; brother, George Dobbs and wife Betty of Moore, Okla.; sister, Inez Shaffer of Midwest City, Okla.; son, Stanley Gardner and wife Vina of North Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren: Carl Gardner and wife Jennifer of Durant, Okla., Ronald Gardner and wife Jai of California, Gregory Gardner and wife Shiyeon of Durant, Okla., Samuel Gardner of Falls Church, Va., Maureen Doty and husband Adam of Denison, Texas, John Gardner and wife Ashley of Denison, Texas, Richard Gardner and wife Tiffany of McKinney, Texas, Thomas Gardner of McKinney, Texas, Rhonda Thrasher of Port Orchard, Wash., Janet Eckroth of Olympia, Wash., Ted Gardner of Olympia, Wash., Pearl Holt and husband Derek of Bokchito, Okla. and Lance Gardner of Arkadelphia, Ark, and Michelle Petterson of Plano, Texas; and by numerous nieces and nephews, as well Barbara Coker and husband Ronnie of Calera, Okla., Jo Ann Coker of Bennington, Okla., Jarvis Dobbs and wife Janie of Bennington, Okla., Grady and Vicki Dobbs of Powderly, Texas, Don Riddle and wife Pat of Carthage, Texas, Evelyn Boutwell and husband Bob of Houston, Texas, Mary Wells and husband Richard of Conroe, Texas, Melba Dobbs of Denver, Colo., Terry Boutwell, Boyd Dobbs and Wesley Dobbs; foster sons, Roy Staneart and wife Connie of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Larry Staneart of Telephone, Texas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Willie Dobbs; brothers, Joe Dobbs and Cletus Dobbs, and one sister Margaret LaBlanc.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, Aug. 16, 2021 at the Old Bennington Presbyterian Church in Bennington, Okla. at 1 p.m. Family hour will be held on Monday before the funeral from 12-1 p.m. at the church.

Interment will follow in Old Church Cemetery with Rev. Richard Rancher and Rev. Acra Turner officiating and serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, and nephews Jarvis and Grady Dobbs.
