George Alex Reagan, age 71, passed away on July 23, 2025, in Denison, Texas. George was born on August 2, 1953, in Bakersfield, California to Haskell and Ora (Gooch) Reagan. George graduated from Durant High School and worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He proudly served in the United States Army for two years until his Honorable Discharge. He was all about his family, especially his grandchildren.
George is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Charles Reagan and Leon Gann and sisters Betty Bradshaw and Jessie Cardinnali.
George is survived by his daughter, Pamela Benedict and husband Robert of Stonewall, Okla.; son, Demetrius Carter and wife Brandy of Alvarado, Texas; son, Danny Reagan and wife Jeanette of Palestine, Texas; son, Matt Reagan and wife Kristina of Stigler, Okla.; sister, Diana Brashier and husband Earl of Colbert, Okla.; sister, Brenda Pickney of Azle, Texas; sister, Letta Williams of Eufaula, Okla.; brother, Jackie Reagan and wife Kathy of Calera, Okla.; sister, Elsa Ingalls and husband Jack of San Bernadino, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous extended family and friends.
A celebration of George’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Chaplain Don Fentem will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
