Gearline Boughman of Caddo, Okla., passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the age of 86. She was born on October 2, 1938 in Kaw City, Okla., to Earl Edward and Earline (Lunn) Gooch.
She was a longtime resident of Caddo, Okla. She married her husband, Vernon Harry Boughman, on February 11, 1956 in Caney, Okla., and raised a family.
As a dedicated Witness of Jehovah, Gearline greatly enjoyed spending time in her ministry, telling others about God’s kingdom. She instilled valuable Bible truths into the hearts of her children and grandchildren.
She liked to sew and crochet. She made countless special pieces of clothing and gifts for others over the years.
Gearline liked being outdoors. She greatly enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She loved all kinds of animals and thrived at taking care of them. She will truly delight in the coming paradise when she can enjoy Jehovah’s creation in perfect health.
Gearline will be greatly missed by so many whose lives she touched but especially by her family who loved her dearly. We look forward to seeing her again when she is resurrected in God’s promised new world.
She is survived by her son, Vernon Boughman of Little Elm, Texas; daughters, Gayline Shepard and husband Don of Caddo, Okla., Sheila Mills and husband Anthony of Caddo, Okla.; grandchildren: Brandon and Jamie Shepard of Little Elm, Texas, Bryan and Hilary Shepard of Frisco, Texas; great-granddaughter, Sophia Shepard; sister, Mary Adams of Coleman, Okla.; niece, Renea Renwick of Cartwright, Okla.; nephew, Marion Paris of Coleman, Okla.; and many friends that loved her dearly.
Preceded in death by her husband Harry, parents Earl and Earline and sister Leona.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Okla., with Wade Boyd officiating. A meal will be served at the Rock Community Building in Caddo following the service.
