Fredrick Richard Cross III

Fredrick Richard Cross III, a resident of Durant, Okla., and dedicated Christian man, entered his eternal rest on March 5, 2022, at the age of 76. He was born in Chicago, Ill. to Fredrick Richard Cross II and Dixie Mae (Walker) Cross on July 7, 1945. Fredrick married Judy Health in Lake Tahoe, Nev. on August 12, 1978.

Fredrick lived in Turlock, Calif. for 40 years, Los Angeles for 16 years, and Durant, Okla. for 20 years. He was an active member and deacon of the Fairview Baptist Church in Durant. Fredrick enjoyed a quiet day of fishing, old car shows, and spending time with the family he loved and cherished.

Mr. Cross is survived by his son, Fredrick Richard Cross IV of Durant, Okla.; grandchildren, Elizabeth of Turlock, Calif., Victoria of Turlock, Calif., and Freddie of Turlock, Calif.; 11 great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Tami of Ripon, Calif. and Sandy; step-grandchildren: Brandon A. Dias, Bryce A. Dias, Buck A. Dias, all of California, Jess M. Clinkenbeard, and Tayleigham Bledsoe; and by his stepsister, Lean of Durant, Okla.

Mr. Cross is preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Dixie Cross and his wife, Judy Cross.

A memorial service in honor of this life will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at the Fairview Baptist Church in Durant with Bro. Bill Ledbetter officiating.
