HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Hayden Foster finished two-under-par to finish tied for second at the Central/Midwest Super Regional, while teammate Zach James fired the tournament’s best round to close the event and finish tied for fourth at one-under-par as both players earn individual berths to the NCAA Division II National Finals Tournament.

Despite a day two push, Southeastern saw its team season come to an end on Friday finishing tied for eighth after carding rounds of 304 and 291 over the final 36 holes to finish with an 892 at the Hot Springs CC in Hot Springs, Ark.
Day two of the event was extended to 36 holes due to the threat of another round of storms potentially moving in on Saturday.
Foster had an incredibly consistent tournament, opening the event with a 69 before posting rounds of 73 and 72 on Friday to card a three-round total of 214 which was good for a second-place tie.
James opened the event with a 75, but turned the corner on Friday with a second-round score of 72 before posting a final round score of 68, including an eagle and four birdies, to fire a 54-hole 215.
Both players earned berths to the NCAA National Finals, marking the first time Southeastern has advanced two individuals to the national finals as individuals in the same season.
Jordan Holifield was next in with a three-round score of 230 after opening with a 77 and firing a 75 and a 78 over the final two rounds to finish tied for 70th.
Bryce Hughes and Ruben Figueiredo both finished tied for 102nd with scores of 242. Hughes arrived at that number after rounds of 84, 84, and 74, while Figueiredo carded rounds of 81, 84, and 77 to reach the mark.
Southeastern climbed from 12th after round one to an eighth-place finish as the team finished nine shots out of sixth place and 27 shots off the lead.
Lindenwood finished first with a six-over 870, followed by Missouri-St. Louis in second, Ferris State and Arkansas Tech tied for third, Trevecca Nazarene in fifth and Grand Valley State in the sixth and final qualifying position.
The Savage Storm finished three shots ahead of Winona State who rounded out the top-10.
Foster and James will be back on the course May 20-24 as they advance to the NCAA Division II National Finals at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia.
