DURANT – The Southeast FCA held it annual fall coaches’ luncheon on Wednesday, inviting high school and college coaches from around the area to meet for a meal and fellowship.
More than 60 were in attendance at Durant High School for this year’s event.
Led by John Capps, the Area Representative for Southeast Oklahoma, the group was fed and also received a message from former NFL quarterback, Jon Kitna.
Kitna is currently serving as the head football coach at Burleson High School in Texas. His NFL career entailed 16 seasons, with time spent in Seattle, Cincinnati, Detroit and most recently, Dallas.
Kinta encouraged the coaches to be good examples before their teams, walking with dignity and integrity. He shared his testimony about coming to a relationship with Jesus and the difference it has made in his life.
