Felicidad “Felicia” Ayers

Felicidad “Felicia” Ayers passed from this life on Jan. 23, 2021 at her home in Caddo, Okla. at the age of 84. She was born in Manila, Philippines on March 7, 1936 to Marsiano and Isabel (Imperial) Altares. She married Walter Ayers on the Naval Base in the Philippines in 1961.

Felicia was a nurse’s aide for many years until she retired. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Caddo, Oklahoma. Her hobbies included cooking, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Felicia is survived by her son Rocky Ayers of Kingston, Okla., and her two daughters Susie Grant and husband James of Richardson, Texas, and Wendy Ammons and husband Brant of Caddo, Okla.; six grandsons: Clayton Miller of Denison, Texas, Trevor Grant of Dallas, Texas, Dustin Ayers of Pottsboro, Texas, Cameron Stevenson and Brandy Krebbs of Caddo, Okla., Weston Ayers and wife Suka of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Jacoby Ammons and Trenna Wright of Bennington, Okla.; five granddaughters: Derah Ratcliff and husband Roy of Caddo, Okla., Brandy Ayers of Amarillo, Texas, Whitney Balizon and husband Chris of Eagle Nest, N.M., Holly Roesler of Denison, Texas and Bailey Anderson and husband James of Boswell, Okla. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.

Felicia was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ayers; mother-in-law, Charlene Campbell Ayers; father-in-law, Royce Ayers; mother, Isabel Imperial; father, Marsiano Altares, and a son Jesus (Obet) Pellon.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel in Durant, Okla. with James Snyder officiating. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Okla.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jacoby Ammons, Roy Ratcliff, James Anderson, Jr., Dustin Ayers, Cameron Stevenson, Weston Ayers, and Trevor Grant. Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Miller and Chris Balizon.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.
