DURANT – On Sunday, Dec. 12, at 10:30 a.m., everyone’s invited to Fairview Baptist Church at the crossroads of 12th and University Blvd. Bring your family or come on your own and join the Fairview family as we listen – and sing along if you like – to Christmas favorites set to beautiful dulcimer music performed by the Cook family. This is part of a December focus on celebrating Christmas.
“Christmas is that time of year when we celebrate the Good News that God has given us the Savior, who is Christ the Lord,” Pastor Bill Ledbetter said. “It’s that special time when we refocus our lives on the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ the Savior and God’s great offer to forgive us of our sins and give us eternal life through faith in Him. And Christmas is the special time of year when we invite people to come in out of the cold and grasp the hope, warmth, and special love that God has for them.”
The Fairview family welcomes our neighbors to join us in song, prayer, and reflection on the meaning of Christmas, the blessings of the year, and the most perfect Gift of all. Maybe you are looking for a church home, or maybe you need to plot a new life-course in a world where nothing seems certain? Friend, it’s not too late – we welcome you to join us as we finish 2021 celebrating the Reason for the Season. Together let’s prepare our hearts for 2022 and the blessings that come from passionately pursuing Jesus!
On Sunday, December 12, at 10:30am Fairview Baptist Church welcomes The Cook Family in concert at 1200 W. University Boulevard (12 and University) in Durant. Please join us for a community Christmas celebration.
