Ernest Lee Teague JR (Ernie), 49 of Calera, Okla., went to be with the Lord on Aug. 13, 2019. Ernie was born in Denison, Texas on November 7, 1969 to Ernest and Betty Teague.
He was a very kind and caring person, and he would help anyone that needed it. Ernie was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Ernie served his country as a member of the National Guard. He also loved seeing the country while driving an 18 wheeler for several years. His most recent employment was with the City of Denison. Ernie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and getting together with family.
After his mother’s death, Ernie was raised by his aunt and uncle, J.R. and Mary McKinney. He is survived by their children Patricia McKinney of Achille, Okla., Jimmy McKinney and wife Lisa of Calera, Okla., and Phillip McKinney and wife Melissa of Bonham, Texas.
He is also survived by his sisters Dana Stark of Caddo, Oklahoma., Stephanie Teague Bruno of Sherman, Texas, and brother Terry Bird and wife Lacy of Albany, Okla., his son Jacub Teague and fiancee Angela Kiki of Booneville, Missouri, granddaughter McKenzi Teague of Booneville, Mo., grandfather Truman Teague of Denison, Texas, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandmothers Betty Teague and Louise Short, J.R. and Mary McKinney.
Services were held on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019 at American Funeral Home in Colbert, Okla. Pastor Tyler McKinney of Victory Life Church officiated.
