Eric Wade Tennison was born on Thursday, August 15, 1985 in Denison, Texas to parents Jeffrey Scott Tennison and Sandra Lynn (Noltkamper). Eric passed from this life unexpectedly on Friday, February 20, 2026 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 40.
Eric is a lifelong resident of Bryan County and a graduate of Calera High School. He was employed as a landscaper and a handy man in construction. Eric loved the outdoors whether it was fishing at a pond or lake, hunting wildlife, or taking some swings at golfing. He also enjoyed a good time with a game of bowling.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Dave and Jean Noltkamper, Linda Boland, and Aubrey Perry.
Eric leaves behind his dad, Jeff Tennison and his spouse Trish of Durant; mom, Sandra Noltkamper Holmes and spouse Rodney of Marlow, Oklahoma; wife, Kassie Wells Tennison; daughters, Raylee Tennison of Durant and Lilley Tennison of Sherman, Texas; brother, Kyle Tennison and spouse Cynthia of Calera; brother, Cameron Tennison and spouse Sidney of Sherman, Texas; sister, Christalynn Williams and spouse Haley of Durant; brother, Zane Trent; brother, Jerimiah Holmes; brother, Seth Holmes; sister, Desirae Holmes; sister, Kirsten Holmes; sister, Gabrielle Holmes; sister, Kayla Holmes and spouse Noah Reynolds; nieces and nephews Bella Tennison, Izec Tennison, Emory Tennison, Theo Tennison, Maximas Tennison, Bradley Williams and Hunter Reynolds.
Services to celebrate Eric’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, at Brown’s Funeral Home chapel in Durant. Mr. Scott Harper will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Tennison, Cameron Tennison, Zane Trent, Cody Langley, Larry Scroggins, Jonathan Dewitt, Aaron Crawford, and Bobby Dooney.
Eric’s family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening, February 24, at Brown’s Funeral Home in Durant.
