Emma Jean Schleiffarth, a resident of Kemp, Okla. left this life in Denison, Texas on July 30, 2021, at the age of 96. She was born in Kemp to John W. Waitman and Adelaide (Killian) Waitman on Dec. 3, 1924. Emma married Paul Schleiffarth on Dec. 3, 1944, in Oklahoma.
Emma worked as a bank officer for the Delta Bank and Trust in Louisiana. She was known and loved for her beautiful smile. Emma was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Schleiffarth is survived by her special friends: Jill Taylor-McDaris of Liberty, Okla.; Michael, Cassidy, Paul Jordan and adopted grandchildren, Emma and Raylan Taylor.
Mrs. Schleiffarth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul (2002), son, sister, and, adopted grandson, Jarid Taylor.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021, at the Kemp Cemetery in Kemp with Terry Terrell and Roger Speers officiating.
