Eddie Brockett, of Calera, Okla. passed from this life on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021 at the age of 75. He was born on Monday, Nov. 5, 1945 in Seminole, Okla. to Joseph Benjamin and Lavern Fay (Strickland) Brockett. 
Eddie married Shirley Russell on Jan. 17, 1969 in Grand Prairie, Texas.
He was a resident of Calera, Okla. He enjoyed fishing, riding the tractor and building things out of metal but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially the grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley of the home; sons, Wesley Brockett of Calera, Okla., Scott Brockett and wife Alyson of Denison, Texas; daughter, Andrea Cole and husband Larry of Utica, Okla.; grandson, Christian Cole of Calera, Okla.; granddaughter, Amber Cole of Calera, Okla.; brothers, B.J. Brockett of Oklahoma City, Okla., Bobby Brockett of Drumright, Okla., Cecil Brockett of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Margaret Reynolds of Tecumseh, Okla., Teresa Williams of Amarillo, Texas as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Cremation services were selected and a family service will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N. Third Ave. in Durant.
