MARSHALL COUNTY – A 16-year-old Durant boy was injured in a one-vehicle accident near Madill just before 7 a.m. on Saturday.
Cody Garlington was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima eastbound on Linn Road about 2 miles east and 1.7 miles north of Madill when his vehicle departed the roadway to the right, struck a fence and rolled undetermined amount of times, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He was ejected approximately 45 feet from the vehicle’s point of rest.
Garlington was transported by Air-Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, and admitted in serious condition with head, trunk and internal injuries.
The cause of the wreck was DUI, the condition of the driver was impaired, according to the report.
