Durant positive COVID-19 cases now at 20 for the year; Bryan County tops 30

BRYAN COUNTY – The number of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 for 2020 in Bryan County has surpassed 30.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health website has cut back its releasing of data for the state, but in the most recent update on Friday, the data shows that Bryan County has now had 34 confirmed cases of the coronavirus since testing for the virus has begun in Oklahoma.

The statistics listed in the View Data by City tab shows a total of 34 positive cases in six Bryan County towns. There are 23 that have been listed as recovered* and one death has been attributed to the virus, and this also means there are currently 10 active cases.

The breakdown is as follows:

DURANT | 20 positive cases (11 recoveries)
BENNINGTON | 4 positive cases (4 recoveries)
MEAD | 4 positive cases (2 recoveries, 1 death)
ACHILLE | 2 positive cases (2 recoveries)
CADDO | 2 positive cases (2 recoveries)
COLBERT | 2 positive cases (2 recoveries)

* Recoveries are defined as those currently not hospitalized or deceased and 14 days after onset/report.
